Tour Whale World in Albany.

Whale world is about 15 minutes drive from Albany. It is located on the site of the old Cheynes Beach Whaling station on the southern coast of King George Sound in Albany.

The whaling station ceased operations in 1978 and is now recognised as one of Western Australia’s most significant tourist attractions and is in fact well recognised internationally.

The guided tour we will go on brings together the past with the present day. This is achieved with state-of-the-art technology recreating the sounds and images of the old whaling station. There is actually a gun blast with a cloud of smoke to let visitors know the audio re-enactment of a whale chase is about to begin.

Our professional guide helps us explore over 20 different exhibits leaving from Cheynes IV in our 30 minute tour at Whale World.

Have a look at where the Whale World is part of our Best of the South 5 Day Tour.
