Below you will find our Toyota Muster Itinerary Tour Package for your 20 Day All Inclusive holiday.
Day 1: Perth – Norseman
We leave Perth to commence our journey across Australia, travelling through Southern Cross we arrive at the Super Pit Mine Site at Kalgoorlie-Boulder, where we can view the enormity of the operating gold mine. This opencast mine is big enough to be seen from space! It is on some of the richest gold-bearing earth in the world. We continue onto Norseman for our first night together. L/D
Day 2: Norseman – Eucla
Today we commence our drive across the Nullarbor Plain itself, staying at Eucla for the night. Keep your eyes open for characteristic signs indicating the breadth of the Australian continent on this great road journey. B/L/D
Day 3: Eucla – Streaky Bay
Leaving Eucla and crossing the border into South Australia. We make a bit of a detour and spend the night at Streaky Bay right on the beach. B/L/D
Day 4: Streaky Bay – Peterborough
We travel through Port Augusta into the Flinders Ranges National Park. Here is a great opportunity to see some of the most spectacular scenery in the outback. We will take a walk past the old Hill homestead and up the easy edge of Wilpena Pound so that, by the time we reach Wangara Lookout, you will have good panoramic views. We will travel back down and spend the night in Peterborough. B/L/D
Day 5: Peterborough – Bourke
A fair bit of driving today leaving South Australia to the “outback” town of Bourke in NSW. B/L/D
Day 6: Bourke – Dalby
Leaving the “Back of Bourke” we continue on to Dalby in QLD with not much further to go. B/L/D
Day 7: Dalby – Amamoor
After early starts the last few days we get a bit of a sleep in today with only a couple of hundred kilometres to go before we arrive at Amamoor. We reach Amamoor in time for lunch, set up camp and then enjoy the show. B/L/D
Day 8-12: Amamoor – Amamoor
It is time to relax and enjoy the total atmosphere at the Toyota Muster. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is included not only on your trip to and from the Toyota Muster, but also during our stay at camp. I am sure at some stage you will probably want to go and experience some of the restaurants or take-aways that are part of the muster, but if not please feel free to eat all your meals with us.
Day 13: Amamoor – Warrumbungle NP
Packing up we hit the road again for the leg home. Leaving Amamoor we arrive at Warrumbungle National Park for the night. Tomorrow morning we will spend a few hours exploring this beautiful region of volcanic plugs and dykes exposed after the volcanic cones have eroded. Fantastic views of the entire park and mountains are seen from the numerous bushwalks available. Probably the most popular view is The Breadknife — it is a narrow rock sliver, formed when magma forced its way through a long crack in the bedrock beneath the ancient Warrumbungle volcano. The surrounding stone has been eroded over millions of years leaving a narrow spur about 600 metres long and 100 metres high. B/L/D.
Day 14: Warrumbungle - West Wyalong
We need to leave by 10am, and then we call into Parkes and see “The Telescope”. Since its opening in 1961, the 64 metre radio telescope was made famous for its reception of the television images of the first moon walk in 1969. The fictional film “The Dish” was loosely based on the role that Parkes played in the Apollo 11 crew moon walk. B/L/D
Day 15: West Wyalong – Mildura
This morning after a few hours drive we reach Hay and the Australian Shearers Hall of Fame where we spend a couple of hours. From here we travel to Mildura for the night. B/L/D
Day 16: Mildura – Barossa Valley
We arrive in the Barossa Valley about lunch time, just in time to visit a couple of wineries, including a visit to a Chateau winery where we can admire the grand architecture and ornate gardens while sipping a glass. B/L/D
Day 17: Barossa Valley – Wudinna
A unique experience this morning will be our visit to the Whispering Wall. This is the retaining wall for the Barossa Reservoir, with excellent views of the surroundings. A perfect ellipse, the shape of the wall allows words whispered at one end to be heard clearly at the other end, 140 m away. We travel back through Port Augusta to Wudinna for our nights stay. B/L/D
This morning we start back across the Nullarbor (meaning no trees in Latin). The Nullarbor Plain extends approximately 650 km from east to west that includes Australia’s longest straight stretch of road being 145 km. We make our way to Kalgoorlie for the night, where we will eat out for our "last supper" together. B/L/D
Day 20: Norseman – Perth
The last day of the tour - leaving Norseman for our last leg of the journey we arrive back in Perth about 6pm after 20 magnificent days. B/L
