Tents camping tours from Perth Western Australia

Is the camping in tents comfortable? Most definitely - it has to be I spend more than half the year sleeping in tents.

Are you like me and only get about 5-6 hours sleep a night (at best) at home? In my previous job I had to travel quite a bit in Western Australia as well as interstate and could not sleep. At times, I even took my own pillow to help.

So one of my main aims was to have comfortable sleeping arrangements. (One of my other main aims was to make sure I have plenty of good food). If I am going to be spending all this time sleeping in a tent on a mattress (and eating my own cooking), while camping they had to be comfortable (and plenty of good tasty food).

I must say in all honesty (Crikey, everything here is honest - trust me!) on most nights I am sleeping 7-8 even 10 hours a night. In fact one night I slept for 12 hours, which I have not done for decades. I am not guaranteeing you will sleep like this. I don’t know if it is the driving or the exercise that is making me tired or maybe it is just the fresh air and eating 3 proper meals a day. (It couldn’t be the port at night because I don’t drink), but the port at night may help you. (Crikey, I am not here to encourage you to drink so I hope you haven’t taken that as a license to tell your partner that Ian said I had to drink port at night).

Part of the fun of outdoor adventure travel is camping but it must be comfortable. All accommodation is in a camping tent on an inflatable mattress with sleeping bag and pillow all supplied. We stay in camp sites at Caravan Parks (full use of toilets, showers, laundry etc) or at Karijini in the camp site at the National Park. Occasionally we do make bush camps and have a camp fire when permitted.

Tents
Depending on the number of people in your booking party, we will have two and three person one available. Yes, children are accepted on the tour and in fact encouraged to see this wonderful part of the world. If you have booked by yourself you will have your own tent. You don't even have to know how to put it up; we will show and help you.

Mattresses
The mattress is a superior quality inflatable mattress. Once again twin or queen size as the case may be. Note these are very comfortable mattresses and not just the roll up foam. These mattresses will be individually named for the duration of the tour so you can be assured you will not be "sleeping on someone else’s bed". The mattresses are easily inflated using an electric pump - very quick and no hard work.

Sleeping Bags
Similarly with the mattresses, the sleeping bags are of a superior quality. These sleeping bags are designed as single or double and again will be individually named for the duration of the tour so you will not be "sleeping in someone else’s bed". During winter the nights can get cold in Karijini so the sleeping bags have a -5°C temperature rating.

Pillows
There will be a variety of superior quality pillows available - thick, thin. If you have a preference for a pillow please let us know when booking. Or you can bring your own if you wish.

Camping Chair
The chairs all have backs and arm rests for comfort. (Seats too of course).
