Below you will find our Tamworth Country Music Festival Tour Package Itinerary for your 22 Day All Inclusive holiday.
Day 1: Perth – Norseman
Your Tamworth Crikey Adventure Tour starts. Leave Perth 7.00am, travelling through Southern Cross we call into the Super Pit Mine Site at Kalgoorlie-Boulder before arriving at Norseman for our first night together. L/D
Day 2: Norseman – Eucla
Leaving Norseman we drive across the Nullarbor Plain (one of Australia's great road journeys) to Eucla for the night. B/L/D
Day 3: Eucla – Streaky Bay
We leave Eucla and cross over the border to South Australia. Driving through Ceduna, we take a bit of a detour to Streaky Bay on the South Australia coast where we spend the night in a caravan park right on the beach. B/L/D
Day 4: Streaky Bay – Peterborough
This morning we travel to Port Augusta and then into the Flinders Ranges National Park including Wilpena Pound. Here is a great opportunity to see some of the most spectacular scenery in the outback. We will take a walk that goes through the Wilpena Pound Gap, past the old Hill homestead and up the easy edge of the Pound so that, by the time we reach Wangara Lookout, you will have good panoramic views across the Pound. We will spend the night in Peterborough B/L/D
Day 5: Peterborough – Cobar
We travel through Broken Hill to Cobar for the night. B/L/D
Day 6: Cobar – Warrumbungle
Leaving Cobar we arrive at Warrumbungle National Park spending the afternoon exploring this beautiful region of volcanic plugs and dykes exposed after the volcanic cones eroded. B/L/D
Day 7: Warrumbungle – Tamworth
After a bit of a sleep in this morning, with only a couple of hundred kilometres to go, we arrive at Tamworth on Friday for the official welcoming of the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Set up camp for the next 10 days of country music pleasure. B/L/D
Day 8-15: Tamworth – Tamworth
(B/L/D is included in all your time at Tamworth if you wish. I am sure at some stage you will probably want to experience some of the eateries that is part of the Tamworth festival, but if not please feel free to eat with us).
Wednesday, for those who are interested, we will drive down to Nundle District for most of the day. Nundle was originally a gold rush town and it retains this rich heritage in its buildings and main street. Hanging Rock is just 11 km east from Nundle and at 1100 metres above sea level offers stunning views of the district.
Day 16: Tamworth – West Wyalong
We leave Tamworth Sunday morning and visit the Parkes Radio Telescope arriving in West Wyalong for the night. B/L/D.
Leaving Mildura we arrive in the Barossa Valley, where we will visit several wineries and spend the night at Tanunda. B/L/D
Day 19: Barossa Valley – Wudinna
Today visit to the Whispering Wall and end up at Wudinna for the night. B/L/D
Day 20: Wudinna – Eucla
Leaving Wudinna behind we make our way to the Great Australian Bight where we will be able to marvel at the spectacular Bunda Cliffs with their sheer 80 metre drop to the ocean in all their glory. We arrive back at Eucla where we spend the night. B/L/D
Day 21: Eucla – Kalgoorlie
Continuing on we arrive back at Kalgoorlie for our last night together. Even though I am sure you will enjoy the meals I prepare on our tour, for our last supper together we will go out to one of the local eating establishments in Kalgoorlie. B/L/D
Day 22: Kalgoorlie – Perth
Packing up for the last time we leave Kalgoorlie and arrive back in Perth about 6:00pm after 22 magnificent days. (B/L)
