While the Tamworth Country Music Festival hosts a stellar group of contemporary artists at its major venues the traditionalists are never forgotten. In fact the elements which make up the festival allow no one to be overlooked. Many visitors do not even go as country music lovers. They go to be a part of the colour they have seen on their televisions, read in print or tuned into on radios. More often than not they leave as converted fans.
Tamworth, best known as Australia's country music capital - is a sophisticated regional city surrounded by thriving agricultural properties and home to around 50,000 residents. This swells by another 50,000 visitors who make this a truly friendly festival.
