Packing up for the last time, we head to New Norcia which is famous for the Benedictine Order. The historic settlement was founded by Dom Rosendo Salvado on 1 March 1846 and the church still contains the tomb of Dom Rosendo Salvado. This church is the oldest Catholic Church still in use in WA.
There will be time to have a look at some of the historical sites including Abbey Church and St Gertrudes with an opportunity to visit the museum housing artefacts and priceless pieces from Popes and Royalty.
From New Norcia we travel to the Swan Valley, where adults can go to a winery, and I will take the kids to the Margaret River Chocolate Factory. B/L
