The Bush Shack Brewery just down the road from Yallingup is a small family run business that was first established in the late 1990’s.
The place looks like a farmer’s house and sheds from the outside, but inside it is like a very cosy and friendly little pub with lots of character. The place is very relaxed and rustic, like a “university” pub, or a casual “pub-in-the-paddock” atmosphere.
They specialise in all natural, unfiltered brews as well as producing flavoured wine-based drinks. Some of the beers on tap include chilli; lemon; strawberry pale; lavender and even chocolate. If you drink beer and like chocolate, you must try this one. With a lot of chocolate beers, you have to close your eyes and think real hard and you can sort of imagine the chocolate flavour - this one is different – it is a real chocolate beer.
Some of the flavoured wine drinks include
Ginger Beer - just like the normal ginger beer, only with a bit of a kick to it.
Kick’n Kole – the alcoholic version of the Kole Beer soft drink with a taste of butterscotch.
Mango Madness – a tropical delight.
Passionfruit – the adult version of the old soft drink favourite.
Scream’n Cream’n – Red Creaming Soda that you would not want to give the kids to drink.
All types of people will be comfortable here, where you can not only sample the beers, but they also have a round pool table; lawn bocce; an outdoor chess set and even a sandpit playground for the kids.
