We visit the Blow Holes near Albany. In the same area are Natural Bridge and The Gap that we also visit.
The Blow Holes are best seen on rough sea days, when the holes really blow - but we can’t control the weather. Just a word of warning, don't stand too close to the blow holes - the coast and rocks, particularly when wet, are unpredictable and can be dangerous.
The Blow Holes are fissures in the granite rocks on the coast near Albany. They make loud wooooshing sounds when water is forced through the rocks by the large waves, particularly in a rough sea.
We visit Natural Bridge and The Gap, a 24 metre drop to the sea, as well in this area. These two sites are evidence of the force of nature at work where the power of the waves and heavy swell has caused this to happen to the hard granite rock.
Lives have been lost in this area, so you must always BE AWARE. King Waves are unpredictable and we must always think safety first.
